Ebb & Flow Bench

Ebb and Flow benches are the wave of the future due to rising labor costs and increased legislation to control runoff and chemicals.

Up to 40% to 50% of a labor budget can be attributed to the cost irrigating by hand. With the use of ebb and flow benches, irrigation can be fully automated.
Agricultural runoff is being targeted by environmental groups to force communities into compliance with the Clean Water Act adapted by congress in 1987. The exorbitant cost of land and engineering of on-site holding ponds can be avoided by using ebb and flow bench systems.
The high cost of fertilizers and pesticides and environmental issues caused by aerial spraying can be reduced by utilizing systemic additives in the water supply.
Agra Tech Ebb and Flow benches are built to order on Agra Tech rolling or stationary benches.
Trays are European cutting-edge technology.

Tray Specifications:

- Hi impact UV protected polystyrene tray is resistant to chemicals and provides a long service life
- Trays are vacuum formed to provide optimum uniformity in corners and total level surface, a must for exact water flow and control
- The trays are carefully designed with deep supply grooves and shallower feeder grooves so water fills and drains vertically keeping transfer of water from plant to plant at a minimum.
- Valve sumps are formed into each tray for exact fit and easy installation

Notes: Ebb and Flow bench systems are of greatest use to growers with monocultures of 1,000 - 5,000 square foot minimum per crop. Benches must be absolutely level so that water fills and drains uniformly.  Plumbing, injection systems, and computer controls must be installed for complete automation.
